If you want to forward callers to another phone number, you have various options.

  • Forwarding that you want to use permanently should be set up in the customer portal. These include your voice mail or fallback routing, for example. You can read more about this in this article.
  • Advanced call forwarding goes one step further, allowing you to implement time-controlled forwarding scenarios. For more information, read the article "Setting up advanced, time-controlled call forwarding".
  • Alternatively, you can also set up call forwarding on the device itself (SIP code 302). This is useful in case of spontaneous absence from the workplace, or if you configure a PBX that routes the forwardings. You can find more information on this in the documentation for your device.

1. call up phone settings

First log in to the easybell customer portal with your personal access data and click on "Phonesettings" → "Manage phone numbers".

Select the phone number for which you want to set up call forwarding and click on the gearwheel behind "Call forwarding".

2. set up call forwarding according to phone status

Define in which case you want a call forwarding. After you have selected a call forwarding option, an input field appears behind the option. Enter there the phone number to which the calls should be forwarded (see screenshots).

Status: Accessible/Online

(telephone connected to the Internet)

Here you can additionally decide after which time period the call forwarding becomes active.

Status: Occupied

(phone not connected to the Internet)

Here the call is forwarded directly.

Status: Offline

(phone not connected to the Internet)

Here the call is forwarded directly. Note: This mode cannot be used in combination with the VoIP to go app because the push server used by the app is still online when the device is not connected to the Internet.

3. apply settings

Confirm with "Apply".

Your call forwarding has been successfully activated.

Note: When call forwarding is activated, the caller's phone number is always transmitted to the forwarding destination, even if you have deactivated phone number transmission.

More options

In addition to call forwarding depending on the phone status, there are other options available:

Unconditional forwarding

Regardless of whether the line is free, busy or offline, all calls to this phone number will be forwarded to a phone number you specify.

Parallel call

A call is not only signaled to devices in which this phone number is configured, but also to up to two other phone numbers. For more information, see our article "Setting up parallel calls".

Forwarding by the device

If your device supports the "Call Deflection" feature, you can also set up call forwarding in your device, e.g. in your PBX. Calls are then forwarded to the new destination with the SIP code 302.
