Configure Zoiper (desktop version) for phone numbers and cloud Telefonanlage

In this guide you will learn how to set up the Softphone Zoiper 5 with your phone number or the Cloud Telefonanlage.

 

With the Softphone Zoiper you can use VoIP telephony without the additional purchase of a desk phone simply from your computer. So with the free Zoiper version you can make and receive calls with your PC or Mac. By using a headset, this is a convenient and inexpensive alternative to IP phones.

Instructions:

1. You can download the Zoiper software from provider's website and then install the Zoiper softphone client on your PC or Mac.

 

2. After successful download the start window opens. Please click on "Contiune as a Free User" to use the free version.

 

3. Please enter your username and password in the following window.

a. For a phone number:
You can copy both details from your customer portal > Phone Settings > Manage Numbers:
Username: SIP-username from your customer portal with the extension „@sip.easybell.de”, here as an example „0049301234@sip.easybell.de”
Password: SIP password afrom your customer portal

b. For Cloud Telefonanlage:
You can copy both details from your customer portal > Cloud Telefonanlage > Devices kopiern:
Username: SIP-username from your customer portal with the extension „@pbx.easybell.de”, here as an example „CPBX-12a34b56-000001@pbx.easybell.de”
Password: SIP password afrom your customer portal

Click on "Login" to confirm.

4. Please enter the Hostname or SIP registrar in the corresponding field.

a. For a phone number:
„sip.easybell.de"

b. For Cloud Telefonanlage:
„pbx.easybell.de“

Continue by clicking on "Next".

 

5. The specification Authentication username is not mandatory, so you can go to the next step with "Skip". A later setup is possible under Settings > Accounts.

 

6. A test of the data transport follows. After the SIP TCP test has been successfully tested with "Found" highlighted in green, please click on "Next" to continue.

 

7. If you now proceed to Settings > Account, the green tick indicates that your softphone has been successfully registered.Unter Settings > Account wird nun durch den grünen Haken angezeigt, dass Ihr Softphone erfolgreich registriert ist.

 

8. The defined network protocol can be seen in the "Advanced" menu.

 

9. Also in the "Advanced" section you can select the supported audio codecs by drag-and-drop: G.722, G.711 a-law and G.711 mu-law.

 

10. By clicking on the X symbol you can leave the Settings area and enter the phone interface.

11. With a click on the keypad symbol the keypad appears so that you can enter a phone number and with "Dial" the connection is established.
