The E.164 format offers numerous advantages, but usually requires a manual conversion. When dialing extensions from a block of numbers, signaling is always done in E.164.

Switching to E.164 is particularly worthwhile when configuring phone numbers in PBX systems, as it simplifies the uniform routing of all calls.

How to Change the Incoming Number Signaling Mode

1. Open Phone Settings

First, please go to my.easybell.

There, please click on “Phone Settings” in the left-hand menu bar.

Alternatively, you can also click on “Manage Phone Numbers” directly in the my.easybell dashboard.

2. Call an extension

Do you have a private customer plan? If so, please click on “Private”!

The phone settings for businesses are divided into two tabs: Connections and Phone Numbers.

In the Connection Overview, please click on the connection whose details you wish to view.

You will see an overview of your telephone numbers.

Please click on the one whose details you wish to view.

3. Change the configuration

In the details view, you will see an overview of the settings.

Please scroll to the "Configuration" section and click the "Change" button to the right of it.

4. Select a mode

In the “Number Signaling” field, you now have the choice between three modes: “E.164 Format (recommended),"E.164 with leading '+' (recommended for the latest versions of the 3CX phone system)," and "Username (recommended for FritzBox and Gigaset phones)."

Finally, please click “Save” to complete the process.
