The Teams Connector from easybell is a solution for the simple integration of SIP trunks into the Microsoft Teams unified communications solution. However, the convenient setupdoes not come at the expense of security.

The following measures protect you and your data when using the Teams Connector:

Direct registration with Microsoft

The Teams Connector allows you to securely log in and authenticate directly with Microsoft Teams. After you have logged in to the easybell customer portal and started setting up the Teams Connector, the Teams Connector sends an authentication request to Microsoft. The subsequent authentication dialog is forwarded to you by Microsoft without an intermediate step and you can log in. Microsoft then informs us that the authentication of the MS Teams license was successful. easybell does not store any login data and does not have access to the personal data of your Microsoft account at any time. Data protection is therefore fully guaranteed.

As the login is carried out directly by Microsoft, two-factor authentication is also fully supported - provided you have set this up in your Microsoft account.

By the way: As you log in directly to Microsoft, we unfortunately cannot provide support for problems with authentication. In these cases, please contact Microsoft.

Encryption between Teams and the Teams Connector

Communication between MS Teams and the Teams Connector is encrypted by default using TLS (Transport Layer Security). All metadata sent from the MS Teams clients to the Teams Connector is therefore protected against unauthorized access in this way.

Data centers in Germany

Both the Teams Connector and the associated telephony infrastructure are hosted in Germany within easybell's network infrastructure. Data is exchanged between the individual components via VPN networks. This makes illegal access even more difficult. All processes comply with the GDPR.

Telephone functions for your security

With telephone functions from easybell such as blacklists, you can make your telephony even more secure.

  • Blockinglists: You can use blocking lists to block or unblock phone numbers. You can easily create blacklists via the customer portal. The blocking lists you set up also work for telephony via the Teams Connector, so you can also effectively suppress unwanted calls in MS Teams.
