Yes, that’s one of the major advantages of VoIP technology: You can use your phone line anywhere in the world—whether at home, at the office, or on the go. This is also referred to as “nomadic use.”

All you need is a working internet connection and a VoIP-enabled device, such as an IP phone, a router with VoIP support, or a softphone for your smartphone or desktop, like our Easybell app.

Multiple devices can be logged in at the same time without any additional costs for call forwarding. This way, you stay flexible and reachable wherever you want.

What You Should Know About Nomadic VoIP Use

To ensure that everything runs smoothly, there are a few things you should know:

Stable Internet connection

For good call quality, we recommend at least 80 kbit/s per call. Call quality may be affected by weak WiFi or mobile networks.

Compatible Devices

Traditional phones won't work without an adapter. You'll need a VoIP-enabled device or VoIP software, such as our Easybell app.

Emergency Call Location

Further Information

When using the service in nomadic mode, your location is not automatically transmitted to the emergency dispatch center. In an emergency, you must provide your location yourself.

Data Roaming Charges

Roaming charges may apply when you're abroad. However, some providers—either voluntarily or due to legal requirements—do not charge roaming fees, for example within the EU. Therefore, please always check whether your plan includes roaming charges in the country you're visiting.

Network Restrictions

Some hotel or corporate networks block VoIP ports. In such cases, a VPN or using the cellular network often helps.

Regional Restrictions

In a few countries (e.g., parts of the Middle East), VoIP is restricted or prohibited. Service cannot be guaranteed in those areas.
