This is how an order works
Depending on which product you order from Easybell, the ordering process may differ slightly for technical and organizational reasons.
On the one hand, the provision of tariffs with an Internet connection is more time-consuming than with a Voice-over-IP telephone connection.
Secondly, it makes a big difference whether you want to transfer an existing Internet connection or telephone numbers from another provider to us or order a new connection.
Differences in the order process.
We therefore distinguish between the following four cases when ordering, from which please select one:
- I would like to order a new telephone line.
- I would like to order a telephone line and transfer phone numbers.
- I would like to order a new Internet connection
→ DSL → FTTH / fiber optics - I would like to migrate to easybell with an existing broadband connection.
If you are unsure which case applies to your order - no problem - simply answer the following two questions:
1. do you need an Internet connection or just telephony?
We can provide a telephone connection within a few hours of verifying your connection address.
Setting up an Internet connection, on the other hand, is more time-consuming and takes two to three weeks for a new DSL connection.
2. do you want to take existing phone numbers with you to Easybell ("porting")?
The transfer of existing telephone numbers ("porting") has a major impact on the order process, as this process must be coordinated with your previous provider. For example, we can only take over your phone numbers as soon as the previous provider agrees. This is often only the case at the end of your existing contract.
This process is strictly regulated to prevent abusive number porting. It is worth allowing for a certain time buffer when placing the order and requesting relevant subscriber data from the old provider in good time.
This is particularly important if you want to port telephone numbers to us as part of an Internet switch ("line takeover"). In this case, the porting is coordinated first so that the Internet access can then be provided at the same time as the telephone numbers.
With our telephone connections, on the other hand, the number porting is ordered after the connection has been switched.
