Error: Call number(s) cannot be registered on your FRITZ!Box and you receive the error message "PPP registration with Internet telephone provider failed".

Probable cause: An Internet provider branding or a previous configuration has resulted in a setting that is not compatible with easybell.

Possible solutions:

Deactivate PVC for Internet telephony

  1. Open the FRITZ!Box user interface.
  2. Click on "Telephony" → "My numbers".
  3. Switch to the "Connection settings" tab.
  4. Deactivate the option "Use another connection for Internet telephony via DSL (PVC)".
  5. Save the setting with "Apply".

Set up Internet access data manually

If the first step did not help, you should check whether access via a preselected provider has been set up under "Internet/access data". These default settings occasionally prevent a correct connection to our VoIP infrastructure.

Caution: All Internet settings will be lost during this step. Only carry it out if you have your provider's Internet access data to hand!

Under "Internet provider", select the option "Other provider" and enter your Internet access data. If in doubt, contact your Internet provider to find out what the correct settings are.

Factory reset

If the previous steps did not help, perform a factory reset on your FRITZ!Box and re-enter all access data.

Caution: All settings will be lost during this step. Only carry it out if you have all your access data to hand and you are very familiar with the operation of the FRITZ!

  1. First back up your settings (for security reasons) by clicking on "Back up" under "System/Back up settings".
  2. Then click on "System/Reset" and then on the "Factory settings" tab.
Read the warnings! If you are absolutely sure that you know what you are doing, click on the "Load factory settings" button.
  3. Then continue with our instructions for setting up telephony in a FRITZ!Box.
