Assigning a phone number to a resource account in Microsoft Teams
You can also easily assign a phone number to resource accounts in the Teams Connector.
Simply follow the steps below:
1. Create a resource account
If you have not already done so, simply create the resource account in the Teams Admin Center and configure it.
2. Assign license
A valid license must then be assigned to the resource account.
Since August 2023, there have been special licenses for Teams resource accounts. Depending on the number of Teams phone licenses booked, you can book a certain number of resource account licenses.
If you have not yet booked these licenses or no more are available, you can book more in the Microsoft Teams Admin Center under "Billing" → "Buy services" → "Add-ons".
3. Assign phone number
If you now click on "Manage MS Teams users" in the Teams Connector, the resource account appears in the list and you can assign a phone number.
