How to configure a Polycom SoundStation IP 6000
Manufacturer: poly (former Polycom)
Designation: SoundStation IP 6000 (Firmware 4.0.15.1009)
Website of the manufacturer (German): poly.com
Basic settings of the SoundStation
Whether on a single phone number or on the Cloud Telefonanlage (Cloud PBX), the basic settings of the phone are of course identical. In addition, the access and the basic configuration of the SoundStation are the same, regardless of the later connection.
Access to the web interface of the device
First connect the device to the local network via the “LAN port”. If the telephone is not supplied with power via a PoE port (Power over Ethernet), the power supply unit must also be connected to the telephone. During the boot process, the phone obtains the IP address from your DHCP server, which can then be used to access the web interface. Please select the option “Admin” for “Login As” and use the factory default password “456” (without “and”). Click on “Submit” to enter the configuration interface.
In the start screen you will find general information about the device.
